We’re glad you stopped by.  We created this site as an expanding resource for those who want to facilitate the inner and outer development of children.  Our links page will guide you to more quality websites and our blog will give you a place to share and learn with others who are interested in the wellness of children and families.
 
Global Family Yoga provides tools, based in the science and art of yoga, for nurturing the development of children into the happiest, healthiest and most well balanced individuals they can be.  These tools include various training programs for those who care for and about kids.  Parents, teachers, health care workers and other professionals who work with young people can benefit by augmenting their expertise with these techniques.

Now you can become a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance® AND become certified to teach yoga to children at the same time!  Once you've completed our comprehensive training, you will be a qualified RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) able to share the gift of yoga with both children and adults.

NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITY

We're excited about new e-courses that we have in development.  E-courses will be way a for you to access information on specific topics related to teaching Yoga to children and families - even if you can't make it to training in person. 

We want these courses to fit your needs and interests.  If you think an e-course might be for you, won't you please take a minute to give us your input via our very brief, four question survey?  You will have the option of leaving your contact information to be the first to know when these courses become available - sometime this summer.  And as a thank you for your time and participation, you will be eligible for an introductory discount when they are released.

VEGGIE FEST

The largest free vegetarian food festival in America is being held in Naperville, IL August 7 & 8. In addition to being a huge food event, Veggie Fest is a music festival, a kid's fantasy and a great family outing.  Come enjoy a fantastic variety of food - Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, TexMex, Italian, burgers, hotdogs, smoothies, juices and more - along with lots of great live music, nationally known professionals on medical research and healthy living, and classes on meditation.  All this with plenty of free parking and free admission!  You can learn more at their website www.veggiefestchicagoland.org.

TWO GREAT LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES IN SEPTEMBER

Family Yoga is becoming more and more popular.  Our Family Yoga teacher training September 10-12 will focus on teaching students who vary widely in age range and ability using partner poses, cooperative games and other specialized techniques. These techniques can be used in your own home, your community or in any professional setting. 

Our popular Games, Games, Games workshop is being held at Moksha Yoga Center in Logan Square on Friday, September 17 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.  Games are an essential part of any children’s Yoga program.  They reinforce the concepts of Yoga in a fun and engaging way. In this workshop you will learn quiet games, high-energy games, fast games, slow games, games for younger kids and games for older kids.  You will learn how to incorporate games into Yoga classes or any environment you share with kids.  This workshop is also fantastic fun for any yogi who is interested in "playing" Yoga.
